Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sarker is the Chairman of leading Agro-based business conglomerates of Krishibid Group of Bangladesh. He was the Former Vice Chancellor of Jeshore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (1992-94) and Senior Professor of Farm Power & Machinery Department at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh untill 2015.
Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sarker has completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from BUET in 1969. After his graduation he obtained a post-graduate Diploma in the field of Tropical Crop Storage and Processing during 1972-73 Session from National College of Agricultural Engineering, UK. He has completed his MSc in Tropical Agricultural Mechanization in 1974 from Reading University, UK. He then completed his PhD in the field of Agricultural Engineering in 1984 from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. Professor Dr. Sarker also worked for his Post-Doctoral Research Degree in Agricultural Mechanization in 1995 at Cranfield University, UK. Beside this, Professor Dr. Sarker attended Post-graduate Certificate Course in ‘Project Planning and Management’ from University of Bradford, UK in 1997. He has Visited many countries of the world for Business and academic purposes.
Dr Ali Afzal is an Agricultural Scientist and Managing Director of renewed leading Agro-based business conglomerates of Krishibid Group of Bangladesh. Dr.Afzal is also actively involved in varietal improvement program on grain legume crops namely lentil, mungbean and blackgram science 1992. He is also working with varietal improvement program on chickpea, grasspea, cowpea and fieldpea. In addition Mr. Afzal is successfully operated a national project entitled “Lentil Blackgram and Mungbean Development Pilot Project”, DFID, UK funded Mungbean Project ACIAR, Australia founded Chickpea BGM Project as Deputy Project Director. Meanwhile, he published the 91 Scientific articles of different international & Natural Journal.

The Krishibid Firm Limited (KFL), established in the year 2001, is the holding company of the KG. It is governed by a 9- Member Board of Directors. The policies and decisions taken by the Board are executed by an Executive Committee (EC) elected by the Directors.
The KFL has achieved ISO 9001:2015 Certification for its excellent corporate management and culture. KFL is a member of DCCI, APSA, Bangladesh Non Packer Frozen Foods Exporters Association & BSA.
The company has received share money of Tk 26.15 million from some 50 shareholders, against which an average dividend of 19% has been given during the past 20 years. The shareholders have been paid back Tk 53.69 million and their leftover share money up to June 2020 was Tk 75.70 million. The company’s turnover was Tk 405.00 million during 2019-20.
The Glorious Lands and Development Limited (GLDL) was formed to help resolve the residential problems of the agriculturists and others. The GLDL has successfully developed large housing areas called Krishibid City at Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. The company possesses about 500 hectares of land having 3250 plots with provisions for all modern civic facilities.
The project area is on natural high lands and is uniquely protected from all pollutions. Permanent campuses of Glorious University (Proposed) and Glorious International School & College are within the project. The project has also kept provisions for hospital, mosque complex, park, shopping mall, graveyard, playground, etc.

The Krishibid Properties Limited (KPL) is engaged in building modern apartments and commercial spaces using best quality construction materials. So far, the KPL has completed and handed over 1,200 such apartments and around 1,300 apartments are underway for completion.
All the buildings of KPL are designed by highly qualified and experienced architects & engineers as per Bangladesh National Building code. The company has also purchased lands at Cox’s Bazar and Kuakata for development of Holiday Suite and Five Star Hotel.

An automatic feed mill has been set up to manufacture high quality poultry, cattle and fish feeds of all types with capacity of 20 tones per hour. It manufactures and markets high quality feeds. The mill is located at Nishinda Bazar of Bhaluka, Mymensingh.

The Krishibid Poultry Limited (KPL) was established in 2005 for commercial production of chicken meats and eggs. The farm is Located at Guziam village of Bhaluka Upazila under Mymensingh. Two six-storied layer farms of the company accommodates about 1,50,000 birds having a daily production of about 1,00,000 eggs. The farm has a land area of 15 hectares with 30% water body. The poultry farm is isolated from human habitation. The KPL is a member of World Poultry Science Association and Bangladesh Poultry Industries Association.
The company has received share money of TK 50.37 million from some 53 shareholders, against which an average dividend of 19.8% has been given during the past 15 years. The shareholders have been paid back Tk 48.44 million and their leftover share money is now Tk 71.06 million. The company’s turnover was Tk. 138.50 million during 2019-20.
The Krishibid Salt Limited (KSL) is a concern of the KG that cultivates salt in an area of 400 hectares at Moheshkhali, Cox's Bazaar and also refines salts at Islampur for home and industrial consumption. The company has planned to establish an automatic salt industry in the salt industrial zone at Islampur to utilize its raw salt produced at Moheshkhali for manufacturing quality salt. The KSL is a member of Salt Mill Owner’s Association.

The Krishibid Farm Machineries and Automobiles Limited (KFMAL) is a new company of the KG to import farm machineries and automobiles from India, Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea for local sales. It has also plan to develop an assembly plant to assemble imported CKD vehicles. The KFMAL has been importing and marketing farm machineries suitable for local conditions with an aim to enhance agricultural mechanization and production in Bangladesh.

The KMCSL was established to encourage the Krishibids for a secured savings and investments. It follows the rules and procedures of the Co-operative Societies of the Government of Bangladesh. Paid up capirtal of KMCSL is now about Tk: 700 million. KMCSL has a plan to cover whole of Bangladesh as its operating domain and include all Krishibids as its members in the future. The Krishibid Printing and Publication Limited (KPPL) has installed modern printing machineries. The mission of the company is to offer the best quality printing, packaging and publications services at competitive costs. The KPPL caters for high quality printing of books, journals, bulletins, periodicals, magazines, newspapers, catalogue, marketing and publicity materials, office materials etc. KPPL vows to serve each customer as if he/she is a member of the Krishibid family and of the Group.

The Krishibid Fisheries Limited (KFL) is located at Bahadurpur, under Trishal Upazilla of Mymensingh district on 30 hectares of ponds and low lands. It has been breeding quality fish seeds and marketing them at both wholesale and retail markets. The company is planning to establish a National Brood Bank within the fish farm. The KFL is a member of Bangladesh Fish Hatchery & Culture Association and Bangladesh Fisheries Research Forum.

KBL was registered with the Joint Stock Company in the year 2012.
The KBL procures only brand products. Alongside the most competitive price, its fresh corner is unique with Krishibid Groups’ own products. The fresh vegetables, fish, chicken and beef, other fresh products are sold which are free from all harmful chemicals.

This is a private limited company of Krishibid Group which was registered in 2016 with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms. The filling station, located at Islampur in Cox’s Bazar will sell all kinds of automobile fuels. Cox’s Bazar is a very important place of tourist attraction. However, there are not enough filling stations for the vehicles to come to this city. It is therefore, necessary for public interests to establish more filling stations in the district. The Krishibid Filling Station Limited will be equipped with a snack shop, prayer room and other necessary civic facilities.
Money exchange means changing one currency for another or buying/selling different currencies to make profit. Only Bangladesh Bank - authorized agencies can do this business. Krishibid Group has started this business via establishing a company called Nova Money Exchange Limited that was registered with the Joint Stock Company in 2016. The company houses its business office at 801 Rokeya Sarani, Kazipara, Mirpur, Dhaka-1216. Nova Money Exchange Limited will assist the agriculturists and other people travelling abroad. Particularly, Krishibid Tours and Travels Limited will be benefitted since; the company regularly needs to buy and sell foreign currencies for the tourists (Haji, Omrah and other in and outbound tourists).
The Mymensingh Hatchery and Feed is another private limited company of KG that started its journey in 2013 through purchase of a previous company and subsequent infrastructural enhancement. The farm is situated at Bahadurpur of Trishal Upazila, Mymensingh. The company aims to establish an ideal fish hatchery to ensure supply of quality brood, spawn, fish fry and fingerlings to be used in aquaculture and culture based fisheries to augment the overall development of aquaculture industry in Bangladesh. The company also manufactures and markets fish feeds.
The Krishibid Media Corporation Limited (KMCL) started its journey in 2016. This is a public limited company that envisages bringing about a revolutionary change in the development process of agricultural sector of Bangladesh through the use of information technology. The company runs an online television named “KTV Bangladesh” with a slogan of “Shobuz O Sommriddhir Pothe”. An online radio named “Voice of Bangladesh” (www.vob.fm), a media production house are also operated by the KMC. The KMC also publishes a monthly bulletin “Krishibarta” and an international standard scientific journal - “The Agriculturists”, and a news paper - “ The Daily Usharbani”.
The Krishi Foundation is a non-profit organization established to carry out the corporate social responsibilities (CSR) of Krishibid Group. The Foundation is also committed to promote agricultural science and technology as well as to assist the underprivileged people of the society through capacity building e.g. providing education, training and employment, income generation, healthcare and medicine. It also undertakes consultancy, research and development activities. The Krishi Foundation offers scholarship to the really needy and meritorious students of the Agricultural Universities of Bangladesh and also offers awards for outstadning contributions in the fields of agriculturals research, education and extension. The Krishi Foundation has always been intensively involved in promoting ethical values and social causes.
The Krishibid Group has established an international standard educational Institute named Glorious International School and College (GISC). This school is located within the Krishibid City campus at Komolapur of Savar Upazila, about 2 km South-west from Mirpur of Dhaka City. The school follows English medium under British curricula. Besides, emphasis is given on building moral and ethical values among the students. There are both residential and non-residential facilities covering medical and health support, sports and recreation, and moral environment. The school envisions to motivating the students on the inspiration of our great liberation war, patriotism and national unity.
The Glorious Technical Training Institute (GTTI) was initiated in order to provide technical knowhow and add value through imparting training to the young generation which constitutes a major portion of the mass people of Bangladesh. The goal of this institute is to convert them into effective manpower in order to reduction poverty throughout the country. The institute was founded in 2008 as a project under Krishi Foundation.
The Institute has been approved by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board to conduct trade courses of 6 months duration. Presently, the GTTI is located at Goran, Chatbari (on the west side of National Botanical Garden), Section-1, Mirpur, Dhaka 1216. Courses on Welding, Electrical, Auto Mechanics, Driving, Plumbing and Civil Construction are currently being offered as per approval of Bangladesh Technical Education Board. So far, about 2000 students have been trained in 120 courses under six trades. About 50% of the trained students have been self employed, while the others are employed by different companies.
The Krishibid Trading Limited (KTL) is a new company under KG, which has been registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms in the year 2017. Bangladesh has to import a huge quantity of consumer goods like Pulses, Chickpea, Spices, Onion, Garlic, Food Grains, fertilizers, ingredients for animal feed manufacture industries, and other industrial raw materials. The KG has taken a timely initiative to establish a trading company to import those materials.
The KTL ensures that the all the imported products are of high quality and the feeds manufactured out of these are health and environmental friendly. In near future, the KTL will import consumer goods maintaining high quality as per international standard. The KTL envisions to become one of the largest importers of consumer goods as well as industrial raw materials in Bangladesh.
Krishibid Insurance is another public limited company of Krishibid Group that has started operation in early 2016 with an authorized capital of Tk 400 million. The company envisions providing individuals and business entities with financial protection against losses. This is a non-life general insurance company i.e. it does not cover life insurance policy. Although, agriculture is still the driving force of Bangladesh economy, there is no insurance company to support the farmers, agriculturists and agro-business during the events of calamities. The Krishlbid Group has therefore, undertaken this noble business initiative to provide risk supports in the agricultural sector.
The Glorious Crop Care Limited (GCCL) was registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms in 2017 for the business of production, sales and distribution of organic, inorganic & biotic fertilizers and pesticides including agricultural farm equipment in order to provide one stop service to the farmers of Bangladesh.
